I can't say I know details of Mon & Wed but both nights I saw everybody leaving looking pleased with themselves & glowing scarlet. From what I heard kumite was a big feature both nights. Sensei Paul was in on Wed which is always a bonus. The boys are getting Sempai Dave and Rachel prepped for Aussie at EOM.
I piked on Thurs after a very late night (John Will BJJ seminar) on Wed & Chris kindly volunteered to be replacement Gower. He made a valiant effort to fold his creative wings & follow my routine (although he wasn't up to the rolly stuff, still being well under peak health himself) so class got kata and self defence as promised. A couple of things I'd noticed about our self defence skills had slipped under Chris's radar so it was interesting for him to pretend to be me for a night & see the class from another perspective! (How obscure was that?) We've still got plenty to work on.
Tonight's the night for reviewing the timetable but can't see too many changes likely as a month has flown by, there's plenty to do on the theme (we're still looking forward to Moray's self defence stuff towards the end of Aug) and, as they say, if it ain't broke don't fix it! Next month we'll be gearing up for grading so changes more likely then.
The call is definitely out for an instructor session tho so that's on the cards. Just got to find the time. (Perhaps not this month). Talking of time, there is a possibility the Thursday slot will shift forward to 5:30!!! Interesting! This is a way we might save the session yet give BJJ the extra time they want. Will keep you posted.
